"Portrait of an Elderly Person"
The intention of my work is to give people my own age the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of an elderly person. I chose to make a portrait of an old man in form of a book which conveys his life in a poetic way.

The dramaturgy does not ask for a regular reading habit. An important part of being old is ones past. Through memory the past gains presence in the present and the two intertwine. The book invites you to watch a man's life unfold through photographs and journal entries.
The work was awarded by DDC (Deutscher Designer Club)"Gute Gestaltung 11", Art Directors Club Germany and OOBA (OUT OF BOX AWARD).
